What do you do?
I am part of the reference team and work mainly with the over 3 million piece historic Photographic Services Collection.
Favorite spot in DC to recommend to visitors:
It has to be the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom at The National Archives and Records Administration. Seeing the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights is something everyone should see!
Collection favorites:
I may be biased, but it has to be the Smithsonian Photographic Services images. The collection has so many different types of images from all corners of the Smithsonian. One image can be of an airplane while the next is of the Castle. There is so much diversity in the collection, one never knows what you will find!
