Summary:

This collection consists of 84 watercolor paintings of Egyptian Bombyliids, or bee flies, executed by three Russian artists, Roman Strekalovsky, Nicholas Strekalovsky, and E. Kassessinoff. The paintings were done for a planned manuscript on the Bombyliids of Egypt by H. C. Efflatoun. Also included is a copy of Efflatoun's unpublished manuscript and photographs of the paintings.

Descriptive Entry

This collection consists of 84 watercolor paintings of Egyptian Bombyliids, or bee flies, executed by three Russian artists, Roman Strekalovsky, Nicholas Strekalovsky, and E. Kassessinoff. The paintings were done for a planned manuscript on the Bombyliids of Egypt by H. C. Efflatoun. Also included is a copy of Efflatoun's unpublished manuscript and photographs of the paintings. This collection was previously described as Record Unit 1020011, R. Strekalovsky Drawings, circa 1940.
