Behrensmeyer, Acting Associate Director for Science, 1993-1995, David L. Pawson, 1995-1998, and Ross B. Simons, Acting Associate Director for Science, 1998, and Associate Director for Research and Collections, 1998-2003. Materials include correspondence, committee records, and reports. Some records document other positions held by Associate Director for Research and Collections, Ross B. Simons. Particularly well documented are operations of the Smithsonian Tropical Research Center and the Mpala Wildlife Foundation. Records predating 1989 were created by previous administrators and maintained by the Associate Directors for Science and the Associate Director for Research and Collections.
