Summary:

This accession consists of the Director's external correspondence and internal memoranda pertaining to exhibitions, donors, recommendations, collection inquiries, technology, publications, events, conferences, and meetings. Correspondence was generated by Milo Cleveland Beach, Director (1987-2001). Correspondence is arranged numerically according to a log kept by Dr. Beach's secretary, Elaine Gill. Beginning on January 1 of each year, chronological documents were numbered (starting with 1) in sequence as each document was generated. A copy of each annual log (in numerical order) is found in the first folder of the first box for that year. Materials include printed email and relevant supporting documents to specific correspondence. See Accession 01-161 for logs for outgoing chronological files and a log for incoming correspondence.
