This accession consists of materials that document the administrative activities of the Curatorial Office within the National Museum of American Art. The bulk of the material relates to the administrative interactions with the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian offices and programs, and organizations outside the Smithsonian. Activities featured include, the Yale-Smithsonian Seminar on Material Culture; plans for the renovation of the National Museum of American Art/National Portrait Gallery courtyard; and collaborative programs with Johns Hopkins University. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, brochures, design plans, reports, meeting agendas, notes, and related records.
