This record unit consists of audiotapes and transcripts from Radio Dialogue and Dialogue. Some on these tapes were also broadcast on National Public Radio.

Historical Note

In 1983 the Wilson Center began to produce its own series of radio broadcasts called Radio Dialogue. Occasionally, these programs were also broadcast by National Public Radio or Radio Smithsonian. Deputy Director Prosser Gifford was the moderator, aided by Eugenie Beth Skarstrom, who served as Radio Coordinator, 1984-1988. George Liston Seay became moderator of the Radio Dialogue series in 1988. He served in this position, 1988-1990, and as Director 1990- , when the program became known simply as Dialogue.

Descriptive Entry

This record unit consists of audiotapes and transcripts from Radio Dialogue and Dialogue between the dates 27 October 1989 and 30 November 1990. Some of these tapes were also broadcast on National Public Radio.
