This accession consists of copies of S. Dillon Ripley's speeches made between 1964 and 1968; a tape recording of a speech made at the American Association of Museums (AAM) in San Antonio, Texas, on June 14, 1984; and copies of Secretary Ripley's comments, "The View from the Castle" written for the "Smithsonian" magazine, December 1970-September 1984. Also included are four audio tape recordings of Ripley's speeches made during 1984 (AAM, Washington, D.C.; Pittsburgh speech; "Piece of the Rock," the Harlow House, June 8; and a radio interview), and one videocassette documenting Secretary Ripley's visits with Forestry Minister Soedjarwo, and Education and Cultural Minister Nugroho Notosusanto.

Descriptive Entry

This accession conists of copies of S.
