Summary

Arthur C. V. Schott (1814-1875) was a naturalist and artist. He worked for the United States Boundary Commission in 1851 as a "special scientific collector," and helped survey the boundary between Texas and Mexico. He also surveyed the native vegetation in Washington, D.C., and worked on the U.S. Coast Survey.
