Summary

Roman Kenk, a Research Associat,e at the National Museum of Natural History in his exhaustive library of published research on flatworms. Kenk, 84, began a lifetime of research on the ecology, physiology and systematics of freshwater flatworms (Turbellaria) at the University of Graz in Austria. When he retired from the Library of Congress in 1965, he came to the Smithsonian to build a flatworm specimen collection and library.
