Summary:

This accession consists of Bohumil Shimek's personal correspondence with colleagues and friends, as well as lecture notes, a list of professional papers written by Shimek, and manuscript drafts. Notable correspondents include William M. Dall and S. Stillman Berry. Some of the letters and notes are written in Czech. Also included in this collection are a number of photographs of colleagues and family, field work camps, and scenic views. One photograph album contains scenic views of Bellevue State Park, Iowa, and the other has photographs from a session of the American School of Wild Life Protection in McGregor, Iowa, where Shimek was an instructor.
