Abstract

The notebook documents Harry S. Ladd's field work relating to geology and ornithology, August 6 - September 2, 1922. The volume begins with an index listing an page number and subject matter. Entries begin with notes about a trip to Lake Superior and the formations of northeastern Minnesota. They include descriptions of terrain and formations, sketches and geological sections, descriptions of specimens collected. Geological notes are organized by subject. Also includes a daily log of activities and packing lists.
