Abstract

The report written by Waldo Schmitt documents the progress of his work on the United States Bureau of Fisheries, Spiny Lobster Investigation, 1918. Includes a "Life History of the Spiny Lobster" and "Early Stages of the Spiny Lobster Taken by the Boat 'Albacore'". The investigation (August-October 1918) was to study the life and history of the west coast spiny lobster with use of the Scripps Institution for Biological Research laboratories. Report indicates that some collecting was done in area of La Jolla, California.
