Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Department of Drawings and Prints - Agency History


The Department of Drawings and Prints was established in 1946. It is responsible for the care, storage, cataloging, and study of its holdings. It also provides information on its drawing and print collections to users.

Staff of the Division have included Elaine Evans Dee, Curator, 1968-1989; Gail S. Davidson, Acting Curator, 1990; and Marilyn F. Symmes, Curator, 1991- .
