This accession consists of records documenting the educational and outreach programs and events developed by the Programs Department. A portion of the records were created and maintained by Linda Powell (Education Program Director, 1997-2003). Significantly documented programs include "Art Night on the Mall," "Visual Music: 1905-2005," and "Gyroscope." Materials include event and program brochures and flyers, calendars of events, "Hirshhorn" magazine, correspondence, education and press packets, grant proposals, reports and studies, meeting minutes, press clippings, color transparencies, color and black and white photographs, docent handbooks and policies, docent training course materials, scrapbooks, meeting minutes, and docent trip planning documentation. Some materials are in electronic format.
