Summary

This accession consists of a limited time online edition of the "Justice for Our Lives" exhibition by Oree Originol at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, in recognition of the one-year anniversary of the murder of George Floyd by police officer Derek Chauvin. The online exhibition, captured on May 26, 2021, was part of an initiative by the Smithsonian Institution to address current events in racial justice and to lead a national discourse on race following months of nationwide protests against police brutality towards Black individuals. Materials are in electronic format.
