Summary

This accession consists of the records documenting the management of the Joseph H. Hirshhorn Foundation's collection of artwork. Major topics include appraisal, insurance, gifts to the Foundation, especially those received from Joseph H. Hirshhorn, and artworks gifted by the Foundation to the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. In addition, there are files related to the 50th anniversary of the Armory Show.
