Summary

This accession consists of web content documenting the termination of the partnership between the National Zoological Park (NZP) and Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ). Announcements about the termination as well as the future of FONZ on both the NZP and FONZ websites were captured on February 4, 2021, the same day the announcement was made. Subsequent captures of the two announcement pages were made later in the day on February 4 (FONZ) and on February 8 (NZP), 2021, to address technical issues with the original crawls. In addition, the FONZ Twitter account was crawled on February 18, 2021, and tweets posted to the account between February 4 and 7, 2021, were exported in two formats. Twitter is a microblog used by FONZ to provide announcements and content to its members. Materials are in electronic format.
