Summary

This accession consists of photographs documenting events, exhibitions, facilities, and staff associated with the National Air and Space Museum (NASM). A large portion of the images document the construction of the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center and the arrival and installation of artifacts. Other major subjects include the Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility; holiday parties; and visits by astronauts, pilots, and celebrities. Photographers represented in this accession include Carolyn Russo, Eric F. Long, Mark A. Avino, and Dane Penland. Materials include prints, negatives, slides, and contact sheets. A small number of images are accompanied by text documents. Some materials are in electronic format.
