Summary

This accession consists of the records of Allan A. Needell, Curator, which document upgrades to the exhibition "Apollo to the Moon" at the National Air and Space Museum (NASM). Also in this accession is a small amount of records pertaining to early planning for "Destination Moon," a traveling exhibition that became a gallery at the museum, and the memoranda of Derek Wesley Elliott, assistant curator of manned space flight. Prior to 2013, the Space History Department was known as the Department of Space Science and Exploration, the Space History Division, and the Department of Space History. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; proposals; budget summaries; scripts; floor plans; checklists; loan information; label texts; photographs; and supporting documentation.
