This accession consists of two websites maintained by the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). The primary SAAM website, crawled on June 14, 2021, provides information about the museum and its collections, exhibitions, educational programs, and research programs at both SAAM and the Renwick Gallery. It also includes press releases, resources for teachers and students, and the "Eye Level" blog. "Eye Level," which launched in September 2005, was also crawled separately on July 10, 2021. This accession does not include detailed collection information. Due to technical issues, some features do not function as expected in this accession. The website for the "SAAM Arcade 2021 Game Jam" was crawled on August 31, 2021. The event invited the public to create and upload original video games embracing the theme of "Building Community, Embracing Individuality." The website and game jam was hosted on itch.io, an independent game hosting platform, and game submissions were made publicly available. The event ran from August 2 through August 7, 2021. Due to technical issues, video game content may be missing from this accession. Materials are in electronic format.
