Summary

This accession consists of the email account of Ching-hsien Wang, branch manager for the Library and Archives Systems Support Branch (1988-2019) of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, which, prior to 2001, was known as the Office of Information Technology. Wang is responsible for computerization oversight of Smithsonian libraries, archives, and museums by making the Smithsonian collections available online through the Smithsonian's Collections Search Center and the Smithsonian Online Virtual Archives. Wang's account consists of more than 140,835 messages covering the time periods August 2000, November 2000 to January 2013, March 2013 to June 2015, and October 2015 to December 2019.
