This accession consists of the email account of Kenneth Cohen, curator of American Culture in the Division of Cultural and Community Life, which documents his work on exhibitions, public programs, publications, and collections related to domestic life, popular culture, entertainment, labor, politics, military, and science in the United States prior to 1920. Earlier correspondence dates to when the division was known as the Division of Culture and the Arts. Cohen's account consists of more than 12,000 messages covering the time period July 2017 to August 2022. The correspondence pertains to collections management and acquisitions; meetings; conferences, workshops, and special events; reports; contracts; proposals; schedules; policies; research grants; visitor surveys; interviews; committees; lectures; public inquiries; tours; loans; and gifts. Materials are in electronic format.
