Summary

This accession consists primarily of images taken by James R. Buckler, Director of the Horticulture Services Division, 1973-1988, of the Arts and Industries Building. The images document the mosaic floor tile of the building, the storage and exhibition of collections, and the restoration of the painted motifs on the interior walls. Additionally there are a few images of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, the National Museum of American History, and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Art. Some images date to when the office was within the Office of Plant Services, from when it was known as the Office of Horticulture, and after the tenure of Buckler as Director. Materials consist of color slides.
