Summary

This accession consists of three sections of the National Museum of Natural History website. All were removed from the main website and temporarily moved to a holding server shortly before they were crawled on November 9, 2020. The Indian River Lagoon Species Inventory section is an online database that provides comprehensive information on all aspects of Indian River Lagoon biodiversity. The inventory is maintained by the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Marine Station at Fort Pierce. The web pages also include information about the Lagoon in general and the inventory project; a photo gallery; a guide to good stewardship; and links to additional resources. Due to technical issues, much of the data is missing from this accession. The Natural History Research Experiences section provides information about 10-week summer internships in Earth science, biology, and anthropology at the National Museum of Natural History. The internships are funded by the National Science Foundation. The website also includes a newsletter. The Repatriation Office section provides information about repatriation activities at the National Museum of Natural History, including reports and the guidelines followed. Materials are in electronic format.
