Summary

This accession consists of the National Museum of American History (NMAH) website. Six sections of the website were also crawled separately. The primary museum website as was crawled on June 17, 2021. It includes information about the museum and its exhibitions, collections, and special events as well as educational resources. Detailed information about individual objects is not included in this accession. Due to technical issues, most online exhibitions are missing from this accession. An embedded blog, "O Say Can You See?," was crawled on July 7, 2021. Launched in July 2008, the blog shares stories from the museum's collections. The Smithsonian Jazz section of the website, crawled on August 26, 2021, contains information about jazz-related collections, research, educational programs, and events at NMAH and across the Smithsonian Institution as well as information about the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and Jazz Appreciation Month. The Archives Center section, crawled on August 27, 2021, includes information about the Archives Center and its collections and exhibitions. This accession does not include detailed information about individual collections. The "American Enterprise" exhibition section, crawled on August 30, 2021, includes an online exhibition and an overview of the physical exhibition of the same name.A "special topics" page on the website dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks was crawled on September 7, 2021. It includes a blog post, a letter from the Director, and links to related objects. Materials are in electronic format.
