Request permissionsDownload image PrintThis accession consists of two websites associated with the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) as they existed on August 26, 2021. EOL is a global partnership between the scientific community and the general public to make freely available to anyone knowledge about all the world's organisms. Both websites are maintained by the National Museum of Natural History which also hosts EOL's Secretariat. The primary EOL website includes information about the partnership and provides scientific resources. Due to technical issues with the crawl, some features may not function as expected and content may not be complete. The Learning + Education Group website is EOL's gateway for educators, students, and enthusiasts worldwide. It includes tips for using the EOL website, model projects, instructions for activities, and other educational resources. Materials are in electronic format.
