This accession consists of the email account of Walter R. Ennaco, Deputy Director, 2013-2021. As Deputy Director Ennaco supported the director of Smithsonian Facilities with administrative matters and the engineering, restoration, maintenance, and operation programs for all Smithsonian museums and other facilities. In addition to being Deputy Director, he served as Director of the Office of Planning, Design, and Construction at Smithsonian Facilities, which, prior to 2016, was known as the Office of Facilities Engineering and Operations (OFEO). Ennaco began his career at OFEO as the Project Executive for the National Museum of Natural History and the Associate Director for Project Management, respectively. The email account consists of approximately 48,247 messages and covers the time periods of February 2003 to January 2012 and January 2016 to March 2021. The correspondence pertains to strategic planning; budget; personnel management; meeting agendas and minutes; proposals; contracts and agreements; reports; policies and guidelines; workplan schedules; surveys; project modifications; floor plans, renovations, and inspections; briefings; publications; committees; and training. Materials are in electronic format.
