Summary

This accession consists of the email account of Karen Weiss, Head of Digital Operations at the Archives of American Art (AAA). Weiss' email account consists of approximately 538,235 messages and covers the time period from August 1999 to August 2020. The materials document Weiss' work overseeing the development of the AAA collection information and digitization systems and website. In the course of her duties, Weiss managed the work of archivists, digital scanning technicians, database and digital asset managers, and a webmaster, to develop the Archives' systems and workflows to support the AAA's digitization of, and provision of online access too, archival collections in their entirety as well as digitization services such as Digitization on Demand. Weiss received her MLS from the University of Maryland at College Park. Material are in electronic format.
