Summary

This accession consists of the email account of Patricia Bartlett, Associate Provost for Education and Access, which documents her work in defining the Smithsonian Institution's education program and to develop an Institution-wide plan for educational initiatives as well as assessment strategies and funding for students in the K-12 range. Barlett also served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary, and earlier email documents her activities as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Education and Access, 2016-2017; Senior Advisor for Higher Education Initiatives, 2015-2016; and Chief of Staff to the Secretary, 2008-2015. The account consists of approximately 110,731 messages and covers the time period from February 2010 to October 2019.
