Summary

This accession consists of the email account of Catherine Eagleton, Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs at the National Museum of American History (NMAH). Eagleton received her doctorate in the history of science from the University of Cambridge and prior to coming to the museum was Head of the Asian and African Collections at the British Library. Eagleton's email account includes approximately 24,000 messages documenting her work to preserve, document, interpret, and make accessible the collections and scholarship of the Museum in support of the Museum's mission. As Associate Director, she served to provide vision for the Museum's collections, research, and exhibition development activities; coordinated and integrated the activities in the departments of history and collections management services and ensured responsible and coordinated management of resources within and between these two departments; and assisted all of curatorial affairs in prioritizing projects and program activities. Materials are in electronic records.
