From Torch article: "Michael Barclay-Watson worked at the Museum as a volunteer while studying art history and economics at the University of Pennsylvania. He joined the staff in 1975 a curatorial assistant working on exhibit installations. He has traveled to seven black colleges to install the Museum-mounted exhibition 'The Language of African Art.' In addition, he has been cataloging the Museum's extensive collection of 19th-century Afro-American paintings and sculpture."
