Dr. and Mrs. Hiroshi Nakahama view a panel of Manjiro's text from the "Abroad in America: Visitors to a New Nation, 1776-1914," bicentennial exhibition at National Portrait Gallery. Dr. Nakahama is the great, great grandson of Manjiro, a Japanese fisherman who was rescued at sea in 1841 and brought to America.
