Summary

Letter of congratulations from Remington Kellogg, United States National Museum Director, to Viola S. Schantz upon her retirement. Viola Shelly Schantz (1895-1977) served as a Biological Aide, Biologist and Systematic Zoologist for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service from 1918 to 1961. Stationed at the Smithsonian throughout her career, she also served as the curator for the North American mammal collection in the National Museum of Natural History.
