Dr. Heinz Lettau (b. 1909), Professor of Meteorology, University of Wisconsin, had served in the German Air Force and was brought to the United States as part of the Office of Strategic Serviceś Operation Paper Clip. He was interned at Camp Luston as a prisoner of war after World War II.
