This accession consists of 48 Facebook accounts maintained by individual units throughout the Smithsonian Institution. Facebook is a third-party social networking site used for interaction with the general public. The accounts were captured between October 13, 2015, and January 29, 2016. Two accounts were captured again using a crawler on June 20 and 22, 2016. A few accounts were downloaded using Facebook's "archive" feature. Due to technical issues, the captures of many accounts are incomplete and may not function properly. Materials are in electronic format.

Descriptive Entry

This accession consists of 48 Facebook accounts maintained by individual units throughout the Smithsonian Institution. Facebook is a third-party social networking site used for interaction with the general public. The accounts were captured between October 13, 2015, and January 29, 2016. Two accounts were captured again using a crawler on June 20 and 22, 2016. A few accounts were downloaded using Facebook's "archive" feature. Due to technical issues, the captures of many accounts are incomplete and may not function properly. Materials are in electronic format.
