Summary

This accession consists of the email account of Evelyn S. Lieberman, Director of Communications and External Affairs, 2002-2015, where she oversaw the Smithsonian's internal and external communications, the Office of Government Relations, the Office of Special Events and Protocol, the Office of Visitor Services, and the Office of Public Affairs. Towards the end of her tenure Lieberman also served as senior advisor and assistant to Secretary G. Wayne Clough for external affairs. The account consists of approximately 2,480 messages including correspondence pertaining to meetings and agendas; committees; information technology; grants; social media; contracts and agreements; Smithsonian marketing; reports; Board of Regents; press releases; proposals; special events; publications; surveys; websites; strategic planning; exhibitions; interviews; and budget.
