Dutch plant pathologist Maria Petronella Lohnis (1888-1964) worked in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Agricultural University, Wageningen, the Netherlands. A student of Johanna Westerdijk (SIA2010-1035, SIA2010-1036, and SIA2010-1037), Lohnis completed her doctoral studies at the University of Utrecht and quickly focused her research on phytopathology.
