The Committee, [[insertion]]appointed[[/insertion]][[strikethrough]]which was instructed[[/strikethrough]] to make inquiries [[insertion]]concerning[[/insertion]][[strikethrough]]for[[/strikethrough]] a room. for the meeting of the [[strikethrough]]Columbian[[/strikethrough]]Institute & for the deposits of the various specimens belonging to the Institute
Report.
That the Mayor has politely offered a room in the basement [[sttory?]] of the City Hall. for the minerals Etc. which is light & dry. He also offered his office for the meetings of the Institute, and promised as soon as other rooms could be prepared, that better accomodations should be provided for the permanent use of the Columbian Institute, free of rent or other expences.
