Summary

This collection contains four items documenting Thomas Wright Blakiston's field work in China and Japan. These field books were originally maintained by the National Museum of Natural History, Division of Birds. Included is one notebook with a list of specimens collected in China and Japan, and accompanied by a related publication (circa 1882); two catalogs containing lists of birds collected in Japan (1873-1882); and a scrap book like list of specimens with clippings from publications, research notes, and field notes.
