Plant pathologist and mycologist Frances Jean MacInnes (b. 1892) was working at Radcliffe College when this photograph was taken. She had attended the University of Illinois (B.S. in agriculture, 1916), University of Minnesota (M.S., 1919), and MIT (Ph.D. in chemistry, 1924). Author of Winter Fungi of the Apple (University of Illinois, 1916).
