Summary

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) botanists Agnes J. Quirk, Helen Morgenthau Fox (1884-1974), and Florence Hedges (1878-1956). Quirk was assistant to the senior plant pathologist, USDA, 1901-1927, and served as head of the laboratory, 1928-1948. Fox published widely on the topic of gardening with herbs. Hedges worked at USDA for much of her career.
