Summary

Consists of records documenting equal employment and minority employment at the Smithsonian Institution, including documentation of all stages of complaint resolution, from the initial complaint forms to the final mediation agreements and counselor reports. The Office of Equal Employment and Minority Affairs was previously known as the Office of Equal Opportunity. Materials include correspondence; memoranda; reports; policy files; action plans; meeting minutes; various information files containing research, statistics, clippings, and board materials concerning equal employment issues; work plans; position descriptions; and black-and-white photographs taken at seminars and conferences.
