Consists of records documenting exhibition planning, development, and production activities in the Division of Community Life at the National Museum of American History (NMAH), and when NMAH was known as the National Museum of History and Technology. Staff represented in these records include curators Carl H. Scheele and Richard E. Ahlborn, and museum specialist Ellen Roney Hughes. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; scripts; budget summaries; production schedules; contracts; exhibition installation and opening photographs; press releases and newspaper clippings; meeting minutes; object lists and loan information; articles; conservation and special program information; motion picture film; design drawings; construction specifications and floor plans; and exhibition catalogue planning records.
