Summary

These records consist of twenty-eight logo boards containing samples of "Smithsonian Office of" letter headings, the sun symbol, and the Castle symbol, as well as samples of the new proposed Smithsonian letter headings. Also included are the use and design guidelines about the new SI visual identity. The boards and guidelines were used by the Office of Public Affairs for office presentations. Chermayeff and Geisman, Inc. of New York City was the designer of the new SI logo.
