Summary

Consists of records documenting individual departments within the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery and the renovation and upkeep of facilities, mostly during the tenure of Patrick H. Sears, Associate Director, Exhibitions and Facilities, and later Associate Director, Facilities and Special Projects. Materials include mission statements and strategic plans, memoranda, correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes, newsletters, event programs, membership lists, calendars of upcoming events and public programs, lists of expenditures made by the Department of Education, visitor studies, research materials, Smithsonian's 150th Anniversary Celebration logo design contest entries, Presidential Design Award entry, object lists with images of objects, priority lists for projects, floor plans, project memoranda lists, budget files, reports, newspaper clippings, brochures, and pamphlets.
