Consists of records documenting letters exhanged between department staff and the general public, other museums, object donors, and professional associates regarding the collections and exhibitions of the museum during the tenures of Janet Thorpe, Assistant Curator, 1967-1969, and Associate Curator, 1969-1973; Catherine Lynn, Assistant Curator, 1969-1974; David Revere McFadden, Curator, 1978-1993; Deborah Shinn, Curator in Charge, 1995-1996, and Assistant Curator, 1997-2002; and Emily Miller, Assistant Curator, 2003-2005. Materials include incoming and outgoing correspondence, including printed emails, as well as enclosures associated with the correspondence.
