Consists of records that document exhibition planning and production, and curatorial publishing activities during the tenures of Deputy Directors Harry Lowe, 1983; Charles J. Robertson, Associate Administrator, 1978-1983, Assistant Director, Resources, and Assistant Director, Museum Resources, 1983-1985, and Deputy Director, 1986-2001; and Rachel M. Allen, Deputy Director, 2002-2018 . Materials include budgets, proposals, financial and funding records, schedules, checklists, agreements, publicity material, correspondence, memoranda, notes, loan forms, color slides, brochures, releases, contracts, meeting minutes and agendas, invitations, promotional materials, picture postcards, and clippings. Some records were created by Harry Lowe in his capacity as Curator of Exhibits and Curator, Exhibition and Design, 1965-1972; Assistant Director for Operations, 1973-1974; Assistant Director, 1975-1980; Acting Director, 1981; and Assistant Director, 1982.
