Summary

Consists of records documenting administrative activities of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Arts and Humanities, during the tenure of Claudine K. Brown, Deputy Assistant Secretary, 1991-1995. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, reports, personnel, notes, meeting minutes, and topical background information. Records created prior to 1991 were created by Brown in her capacities Assistant Director for Government and Community at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, New York; and as Project Director of the African American Institutional Study at the Smithsonian, 1990-1991.
