Summary

Consists of records documenting the planning, development, and production of exhibitions as well as performance series in the Division of Culture and the Arts. Earlier records date back to when the Division of Culture and the Arts was known as the Division of Cultural History, the Division of Community Life, and the Division of Musical History. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; proposals; schedules; scripts; design development plans; publications; contracts and agreements; exhibition catalogue planning and marketing information; articles; meeting agendas and minutes; photographs, slides, and negatives; interview transcripts; collection policies; loan information; reports; press releases; newspaper clippings; opening information; lecture papers; pamphlets, announcements, and brochures; budget summaries; visitor comments; object lists; website planning information; floor plans; drawings; visitor comments; symposium, committee, special event, education and outreach program, and tour information; questionnaires; grant, fundraising, and corporate sponsorship information; press kits; and sound recordings.
