Summary

Consists of records documenting Smithsonian and United States National Museum (USNM) administration. Most of the records were created by Remington Kellogg, Director, 1948-1962. A few records were created while Kellogg served as Assistant Curator and Curator in the Division of Mammals, 1940-1948. Also included are records of other Smithsonian and USNM staff, including Alexander Wetmore, Assistant Secretary in charge of the USNM, 1925-1948; Frank A. Taylor, Assistant Director of the USNM; and Albert C. Smith, Director of the Museum of Natural History, 1958-1962.
